From JNR to Northern Sun
Northern Sun Plumbing & Heating grew out of J&R Sundberg Construction, a company that has been building and serving homes across Northern Minnesota for over 15 years. After years of handling plumbing and HVAC work as part of larger construction projects, we recognized that homeowners in the Duluth area deserved a dedicated service team — one that could respond quickly, work honestly, and stand behind every job.
So we created Northern Sun as a focused service division. Same team. Same standards. Same commitment to doing the work right. The difference is that now, whether you need a furnace repair on a January night or a bathroom remodel in the summer, you have a single number to call and a team that already knows your home.
We're a small, tight-knit crew. Everyone on our team holds the certifications and training needed to work on your systems safely and correctly. We don't subcontract out the hard jobs — we do them ourselves.
